  1. Why r you guys not showing protests against ranil?

  2. This is totally biased…did Ranil pay aljazeera?..Now SL is in good hands true!

  3. Srilankans should understand that China want to rule them indirectly….

  4. sadly Al Jazeera uses mr alan keane (london guy in this video) who has no knowledge about sri lanka, according to him people didn't come to protests because they afraid to the Rajapakse. if this is true then how mr Rajapaksa won the last local election in 2018 with high majority?. reason is mr Ranil wikramasinghe could not handle the country's economy, and corruptions( bond scam).

  5. this situation is not good for a democratic country.. (Qatar has a different constitution).president Sirisena' doesn't act as a democratic leader.

  6. Who are you AJ to talk about dictatorship…when you have it in your own house… We had dictatorship under Ranil, not under Rajapaksa.

  7. There is nothing uncostitutional on the decisions taken by our President. All happened legally. A small discrepancy in the translation from Sinhala, the main language, and English. But the Sinhala version is the legal one, giving power to the President to do what he did.

  8. Pro LTTE blood shedding terrorist agenda…very bad news reporting.

  9. Do not worry about us. Sri Lankan people need an election, then they will decide who will be our next Prime Minister. We can solve our problems inside the Country. And Qatar… do not stop what you are doing from the beginning, I mean donate money for the growth of terrorism…

  10. We are Sri Lankans and we got what we needed. What international community must do is to just let people of Sri Lanka resolve their problems instead of trying to be one sided. Ranil Wikramasighe had a great chance of getting the peoples trust after nearly 20 times loosing in elections but he just Worked on his own agenda and now NO ONE TRUST HIM ANY MORE.

  11. This guy don't have any knowledge about our constitution rather making bold statements. If the appointment of new prime minister is unconstitutional, they can challenge in court. That's democracy. West never brought democracy to any country rather weakened and destroyed with guns and barrels.

  12. Sri Lankan is in good hands , don’t worry about us.

  13. Very bias news and fake. When Ranil got became the Pri-minister same way. Ranil and his government selling the resources of the country and planning all the amendments according to the international community interests. Carefully look at the protesters, majority of them speaks very professionally, looks very very clear those are NGOs funded to ruin the country. Look at the country no bloodbath as Ranil says. Only one incident happened due to one of the UNP leaders' security shoot three men in one of the departments' office on a weekend (non-work day). Aljazeera you always being against Sri Lanka. Please do not bias to any one's interest. For a note, Mahinda's party won last elections with the highest vote gap.

  14. This is funny. Al Jazeera is owned by a dictatorship reporting on another country is in danger of falling into dictatorship… LOL.

  15. Dear Aljazeera, majority people in Sri Lanka do not have a problem in here. Mr Wickramasinghe’s party hardly got around 34% of the votes overall from the last local council elections held in February 2018. The provincial council elections were postponed for more than two years now. Do you think Postponing elections called as democracy? Mahinda and his group is now gonna have elections pretty soon. You from overseas have no idea what the people in Sri Lanka wants. You all work for an agendas. This change is completely legitimate and majority people in Sri Lanka wanted to see this change. There are problems for wickramsinghe from his own mp’s because he is the one who is against the democracy. He’s been leading his party since 1992. That is 26 years. People of his party wants Ranil Wickramasignhe to go home now. It is good for the country good for UNP and people of Sri Lanka.

Bringing back Mahinda has worked well for Sri Lanka.

  19. we all know international they just don't like MR. Mahinda Rajapaksha we defeated terrorism!! the one and only country in this world!!!! now internationals they hate us the victory we have they don't like, people of Ceylon do what they need what they want, ne w PM is bless for Ceylon

  20. This is fake news. Sri Lanka is very stable and ppl celebrate Mr. Rajapakse's appointment as PM. it has been established that the appointment is legal and Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe has still barricaded himself within the official PM Residence. Whilst people celebrate the appointment of the new PM.

  21. We like mahinda, overwhelmingly. Please come see our election results few months back!

  22. Srisena…you are a shame to SrinLanka.

  23. Wtf? The reporter needs to take his medication on time or he needs to up the dose.

  26. India and Sri lanka are natural partners.

  27. I'm Sri Lankan and we do not have any problem in this country plz stay away from our problems. No one likes Ranil Wicramasighe (Ranil Also got became the Pri-minister same way)

  28. We don't the Rajapakse thugs to Run this country

  29. do not worry about Srilanka. people need an election then they will decide who is our next prime minister. no one believes parliament members, they do anything for money.we can solve our problem inside the country. and Qatar do not stop what they doing from the beginning, I mean donate money for growth terrorism

  30. Yes, you are right, we are the people who donate money for growth terrorism. proud to be Qatar.

  31. Mahinda will create civil war now.

  32. Al Jazeera is Fake news. Super biased. SAD!

Bringing back Mahinda has worked well for Sri Lanka. If you are not biased media, there will be huge number of people coming to Colombo on 5th of Nov in support of Mahinda Rajapaksa. Compare the two rally’s and report the reality and prove that you are not biased. Don’t do disgusting biased media reporting. Thank you.

  34. What’s funny is that the government “ended” the war, and now they are fighting amongst themselves 🤔🤣

  35. Does China has some role in it as it supports Mahindra Rajpachhe's bloodbath

  36. this is funny. Al Jazeera is owned by a dictatorship reporting on another country is in danger of falling into dictatorship LOL.

  37. These guest from west have its maliciois agenda of weakening Sri Lanka. This guy don't have any knowlege about our constitution rather making bold statements. If the appointment of new prime minister is unconstitutional, they can challenge in court. That's democracy. West never brought demicracy to any country rather weaken and distroyed with guns and barrels.
