Wagner & Blundell really did impress: The surface was good, both teams bowled a little short. For this reason their first innings efforts cost NZ. Blundell is quite technical and classical. I further hope that more surfaces like Perth & Melbourne are produced and classical technique stays; 20/20 is a fine medium, but should not permeate Tests. I would have liked more catchers set for Blundell, but he deservedly made history, as did Wagner, who nabbed Smith for wicket 200. Trans-Tasman rivalries should be five-Tests ala the Ashes.
