Rarely do we see a body-care line that fully embraces and celebrates bigger bodies. But while body-positive YouTuber Loey Lane’s new brand, Love AnyBody, does exactly that, there’s no denying that the products are truly beneficial for anybody with, well, anybody — and any budget.
“Love AnyBody’s mission is to celebrate women’s bodies at every shape and size — having an honest and open conversation about everyday body concerns that affect us all,” reads a press release from the brand. “In a crowded beauty aisle full of ‘fix me’ products, Love AnyBody is creating space for women to enjoy products that offer targeted benefits for their specific needs.”
Two of those products are formulated to address an issue that anyone with touching thighs knows all too well: chafing. And with warmer weather on the horizon, more frequently bare legs means more chafing and more of a need for Love AnyBody’s Anti-Chafe Stick and Anti-Chafe Ointment, which go for $9 each.
The Anti-Chafe Stick looks a bit like deodorant, but instead of addressing smell or sweat, it glides on to serve as a protective layer that reduces friction on any areas where skin is prone to irritating rubbing, like the inner thighs or under the arms. You can apply it before you get dressed, but the non-messy format also makes it super-easy to bring along in a bag in case you feel like reapplying.
While the Anti-Chafe Stick works as a preventative measure, the Anti-Chafe Ointment is ideal for folks who are already feeling the effects of skin friction. Love AnyBody calls it a “deeper treatment to target the effects of chafing while promoting healthy skin turnover,” and it does this with a blend of lactic acid, squalane, and olive extract to soothe and strengthen.
The two other products in this small-but-mighty launch are the Stretch Mark Cream and Stretch Mark Serum, each $11. They work together to fully address the effects of stretched skin, which aren’t just cosmetic. The cream features hyaluronic acid, arginine, and vitamin E to help soften the texture of uneven skin, while the serum, packed with essential fatty acids, has a soothing effect on the physical discomfort stretch marks can sometimes cause.
“Love AnyBody’s products address the things we’ve always been taught to view as ‘flaws,’ but are actually totally normal human things everyone deals with on some level,” Lane tells Allure, explaining that the brand is more about giving your skin love with gentle-yet-effective formulas than trying to erase what makes you you. “This line celebrates what makes each size, line, and curve so unique by treating your skin like it deserves to be treated.”
