The line of mourners you see is staged, and the participants are transported from place to place to show a fake unity. They bus the same group from city to city to present the same scene. That's why you don't see mourning ceremonies in multiple cities at the same time. The stores and businesses are ordered closed and those who violate this closure order lose their licenses. You can find short video clips of business owners complaining about the money they're losing. The Taliban, Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups are giving their condolences to the family of this terrorist. The President did not order the killing of a General. He ordered the killing of a terrorist. Tyrannical governments have a very powerful propaganda machine. So, don't be surprised when you fall for it. Watch the funeral procession of the head of Gestapo a couple of years before the Nazi government in Germany was toppled, and you'll see something very similar.

The war machine has been dismantled. Trump has appeased the military industrial complex via unprecedented military budget increases (legitimate defense) as well as the institution of another branch of military, the Space Force. If you think wars are costly, I'm sure you could imagine discovery and exploration requires exponentially more effort and vision. Difference being humanity, We The People offer far more ambition in exploration than fighting endless wars with zero benefit for centuries on end.
If you think there's no way Trump could've possibly seen this outcome, it doesn't take a genius to imagine the Iraqi people might eventually grow tired of constant occupation and endless strife.
