I really think Rohit Sharma can be a better captain than Virat Kohli in limited overs format.
And if you compare our past ODI sides we've always had good no4 and no5 like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina who can play both the attacking and defensive mode. But this side doesn't have that luxury. I would say one of the worst ODI sides of India leaving top 3 who've always been good for India.
Sreyas Iyer and Rishab Pant are not the ideal 4 and 5 and maybe even bringing Ashwin back is an option in spin department since he is a smart bowler.
But anway Dhoni comes into this team straight away for me after the 10 loss in 1st ODI. Because quality is my top priority. Even Bumrah looked like an ordinary bowler and that was disapponting stuff.
Rohit(c), Dhawan, Virat, Rahul, Kedar, Dube, Pant, Jadeja, Shardul, Shami, Bumrah with current available players.
