In general, fast food isn’t always the healthiest food out there, but sometimes a road trip or busy evening leads to a trip through the drive-thru.
If you’re on a diet or you’re just looking for the least-unhealthy option on the menu, now there’s an app that can help. Called “Cheat Day” the iOS app allows you to sort Fast Food menu items by nutrition, protein, calories, carbs, and fat. So, whatever you’re cutting back on (or trying to consume more of) you can figure out what you best bet is from the menu.
The app design is pretty bare-bones, but it includes info for every item on the menu for 750 different restaurants. You can view items ranked by their healthiness factor, and tap info individual menu items to see their exact nutritional breakdown.
When you do see something you like, you can also build a virtual meal within the app and see what the nutritional breakdown or your entire order looks like.
It’s not going to make that BigMac or Frostie any healthier, but it can help you make a more educated decision about what you’re chowing down on.
