Harry Styles’s third Gucci campaign has been released today. Continuing as the face of the Gucci Tailoring collection, Harry is photographed in settings that play on the house’s eclectic aesthetic and also called upon Harry to put his acting skills into practice.
In the previous two campaigns Harry has stood brooding in an English fish and chip shop and then posing in an Italian garden landscape. However, today we are served business executive Harry.
Standing behind a paper-strewn desk on the phone, Harry’s face is the expression of someone on hold if ever there was. We’ve all been there. Now, even Harry Styles in a Gucci campaign has been.
Just like the last campaign saw the musician cradling lambs and piglets, so too is he joined by a pig who roams over his office supplies. Meanwhile, a stuffed swan, stone busts and a lampshade comprised of piled-up teacups also share the Glen Luchford-lensed frame.
The styling we can see Harry photographed in follows his own style evolution. As his stylist Harry Lambert told Miss Vogue on the eve of the Met Gala, we’re about to enter a whole new era of fashion as the anticipation for his second solo album builds.
“It’s time to try something new and hopefully shock and inspire in a different way,” Lambert said. “I know the fans love his outfits, so hopefully they will love what’s to come.” There’s less of the floral suits that dominated the early campaigns and his tour looks, with now more of a focus on a mash-up of eclectic pieces coming together.
