  10. Thank you Danny. I had been doing really well with my diet and exercise buy about a year ago I just lost my momento. I need to focus like you say on why and how I can get back to where I was. I know how good I felt and don't know why I am sabotaging all the good work that I did but I do know it's time to face up to it and sort it out . I love your videos and use to watch them before so my positive step today or at least 1 positive step is taking time to watch again and trying to get back to who I was. ❤

  15. "Lean into the mess." Such great advice! Thinking through the WHYs and starting with little steps got me started toward my personal fitness goals (and I hit my goal weight — now I'm working on building strength and endurance). It was important to be kind to myself along the way. I imagined what my best friend would say to me (she's super nice and encouraging) rather than my critical inner voice. Also this motto helped: Make it easy to do right and hard to go wrong. It's helped me to make the environment convenient for habits I want to build and to make it inconvenient to access the habits I want to break. I set out the work out clothes each night. Put the cookies in the back of the top shelf of the pantry, or decide I can only eat sweets I make myself and so forth. It's been helping. I love your practical, family friendly, realistic approach to feeding my family well rather than perfectly. Thanks so much!!

  23. My goal is to be able to climb to Mount Tipponogus caves and being able to ride my bike like I used to, riding two to three hours was not a big deal. Now I do 30 minutes. But, I will get there. I am doing 3 days biking, 3 days on an incline on the treadmill.

    I really appreciate this video. have heard some of the same things but not in the context that you put it and this time I am going to give it a deliberate try.

  32. Hi Dani, a surgeon told me to lose some weight. So I attached myself to the thread mill and began to walk every day. First week a mile, second week 2 miles, on the 3rd week my legs were feeling like logs, so my daughter suggested compression stockings. So I put a pair on, thinking WOW this should help me get to the four mile marker. But instead, I barely got to a quarter of a mile and had to get off. My legs were killing me!!!! The next day I could barely walk, but hey I HAD to lose the weight. Before I realized it, I was having chest pains, and breathlessness. I made the decision to go to the ER, I was then told i had a Huge Blood Clot in the Lung, the very thing that killed one of my brothers. I am now trying to recover, and it will take a good six months for this clot to dissolve. Some people have other medical issues, I learned I had a Blood Clotting Factor. Whether its exercize or a change of menu, one really needs to consult with their Drs. because even when it comes to "Food" if your on a blood thinning agent, it can thin your blood too much and ultimately do more harm than good.   33. Thank you. I tend to fall into that swamp of negativity where I dwell on what I didn't get accomplished and compare my lack of productivity to someone who has accomplished so much. (Where do people get so much energy?!) I'm working on the baby steps methods and celebrating the small wins.

  45. Thank you, Dani! I love your videos. Hoping to use them to help me prepare for football season. I'm a FT working mom, and my 7 year-old will start having football in the summer three nights a week for 2 hrs, and on weekends. Plus my job. Last year was our first year, and I was COMPLETELY unprepared for how that would impact our schedule. We defaulted to a lot of fast food and processed junk because it was fast. It was BAD. Any (additional) ideas that you could come up with that combine make-ahead meal prep AND little or no cooking (meaning we can grab it and run out for practice), that would be terrific! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE INFORMATION AND INSIGHT YOU PROVIDE!
