How to Play Google’s Wimbledon-Inspired Tennis Easter Egg

Wimbledon officially ends this weekend. To celebrate the tournament, Google created a fun Easter Egg that allows you to battle in your own tennis match on your phone or computer โ€” you just need to know where to find it.

To get there, search for #Wimbledon using Google. When your results appear, scroll to the far right of the scoring widget and click on the green tennis ball at the end beside โ€œMixed Doubles.โ€

Clicking or tapping that will launch a small pong-style tennis game. On desktop, you control your player using the right and left arrow keys. On mobile, you tap on the left and right side of the screen to control your player. The goal is to simply hit the ball back and forth.

Itโ€™s a fun little time waster and a bit more challenging than it looks.

I ended up playing the desktop version for perhaps a little longer than I should have and got a high score of 28. That said, my average score was probably something in the 4-5 range, so itโ€™s not exactly an easy win. Then again, neither is Wimbledon.
