How I WorkThe How I Work series asks heroes, experts, and all-around productive people to share their shortcuts, workspaces, routines, and more.

Vanna White has been turning letters on Wheel of Fortune since 1982, and has a few tricks for how to make every workday feel new.

While the job itself seems repetitive, Vanna knows how to focus on the aspects you’ve loved since the beginning. She points out that it’s a fun job that makes people happy, and gives them lots of money and fabulous prizes in the process. You may not do exactly that in your day-to-day, but you can surely pay extra attention to the parts of your job that make you the happiest.

Also, she’s on TV and gets to wear 7,000 different dresses, so that’s pretty good incentive to get anyone to come into the office. (And for the rest of us, there’s a practical takeaway: find ways to introduce variety into your work routine to keep things fresh.) But maybe we should all come to work and smile and clap like Vanna to make our days a little bit brighter.
