Despite this chaotic situation we find ourselves in, our diets – and our spirits – shouldn’t have to suffer.     So I started the 24hrs alternate day IF challenge. The thing is that I am a vegetarian and I have seen your videos where emphasise the importance of what you eat when breaking a fast. I have not been able to figure what I can eat as a vegetarian since I can’t have lean meat which you say should be had. So what can I eat to break my fast.
    Also you also say to eat a small meal first and then go for a bigger meal. I break my fast at dinner time which is at 8:30 pm, if I have a small meal then and then the proper meal after one hour then it gets too late and I can’t eat so late at night.
    Please advise.

Hi Thomas, I wanted to post a link to a journal that you might find interesting {since you seem to like to keep on top of info} My husband works with a biotech company that is currently working on an ai tool for aiding in the pandemic. He originally steered me down the fasting path years ago which eventually led me to keto. We both feel keto is a superior way of life for me and he supports it fully with all the research we've done together. But he ran across this study recently. While keto sets our bodies up to be healthy and fight illnesses, if someone actually contracts coronovirus, one on the keto diet might want to proceed with severe caution. In this study, mice were more likely to survive a viral infection when glucose was implemented. Here is the study, an interesting read: https://sci-hub.tw/10.1016/j.cell.2016.07.026 I am staying on the keto path for as long as possible, though our protein source is running low and in our densified city, hard to acquire. We were able to finally receive 6 cans of tuna from amazon which I am so grateful for. Thank you for creating this low budget meal plan most of us can still manage to follow or adapt to our current situation. I did have one question, is it detrimental for one on keto to eat way under their protein macros on non-fasting days? I know from previous videos that you mentioned a slowing of the metabolism{over OMADing/over-fasting etc}, which I was in the process of correcting. But now I have to make the protein we do have last and I'm worried I'm eating way under. What are the consequences of that?

  21. Thomas- istarted keto bc of you! thank you. I've been out of the gym for three years, as I had my second and third child back to back. My muscles are weak, and now I'm challenged with (sudden and new) knee and hip pain (keto didn't fix that) since my pregnancies. I'm dying to workout again (nervous about my joints though!) Being out of shape now, what do you recommend for workouts at home? I have light equipment (a few light dumbbells and kettle bells) thanks!!
