2018 was the best year of my entire life,” explains Karlie Kloss in a video recap of her memories. “I married my best friend, grew the Klossy team in a big way, expanded Kode With Klossy to 50 summer camps across the country, joined the Estée Lauder family [and] became the host of Project Runway.”
The YouTube short, entitled “118 Things That Happened In 2018”, has amassed close to 200,000 views since the model shared it on her Klossy channel on January 1 – no doubt, in part, down to followers eager to see footage from Kloss’s wedding to Josh Kushner on October 18.
And, although brief, the clip doesn’t disappoint. We see the moment the 26-year-old entrepreneur saw her Dior wedding dress in the couture atelier, and her subsequently embracing its maker, Maria Grazia Chiuri. “I literally, like, just started crying the minute I saw it,” she says to the camera.
Later, Kloss gathers with her bridesmaids before the intimate ceremony in upstate New York. The footage then cuts to the moment she kisses her father before walking down the aisle, and spans into a montage of her posing for photographs in her bespoke gown, which took 700 hours to create from 400 metres of lace and 300 metres of tulle.
“I’m so happy,” Kloss says to her new husband, before joking, “Thank you for coming.” Watch – and prepare to tear-up around the 8.13 minute mark – below.
