America is -$23 TRILLION deep in the 'hole' Keane speaks of. Reagan's budget was only $256B, one-third of this massive MIC-Pentagon blowout budget 2020. Together with 'unknowable' $100Bs war profiteering during the 2001 to 2019 illegal Wars of Levant, (which we are STILL engaged in today), MIC-Pentagon has received double-digit budget increases every year. Did you get double-digit raises at work to match? I didn't! Some independent estimates place the Missing In Action Pentagon funds at -$21,000,000,000,000!!

We have 800 OCONUS bases or FOBs, employing 10,000s of foreign nationals, while they are closing US bases and laying off American workers. What are those bases for? War profiteering! When the Soviet Union folded on Christmas, 1991, George Bush Sr tried to cut Pentagon spending, now that the Cold War was over, but it only took seven months for Cheney and Weinberger to betray the President, gyning up 'Islamic Jihad' to replace 'Creeping Communism' as the Big Red Flag we all are forced to march to, every April 15th.
They got rid of Bush Sr in the 1992 election and brought in the Old WarHag, she took America into Kosovo, then on and on and on. We live in a state of perpetual war profiteering today. Last year, Americans could barely afford to pay $3,422B in taxes. This year, 2020 fiscal year, the Red-Blue UniParty of Joe-Don passed a $4,742B budget, 40% greater than what we can afford assuring another $1.8T Deficit adding to the $23T National Debt that the war and finance criminals have laid onto taxpayers' backs, the largest Deficit and largest Debt in human herstory!
Not to push the point, Pentagon was hacked in 2012 of all military and civilian personal identity information (PII), then again in 2013 was hacked of all MIC contractor PII, until today Pentagon (and Congress) have ABSOLUTELY no idea where all the money is disappearing. They have no audit, no stop-loss and even more massive fraud, waste and abuse is reported by the Congressional Budget Office. Simply put, MIC Pentagon war profiteering, together with illegal, even criminal Wall Street financial frauds, will have bankrupted USA before 2025.

The U.S. is currently in talks with the Taliban in Afghanistan to let them regain power and run the country again. That sums up how pointless that invasion was.
I like what Trump is doing on some issues, but I strongly disagree with this handout to the defense industry. I would like to see significant reduction in defense spending. I don't think it is good to reward the Pentagon and defense industry with more money, when they can't even keep track of several billion dollars they have already been given.
