Kylie Jenner taught Gen Z how to apply lip liner, and now she’s teaching herself how to do hair.
In an adorable Instagram Story, the makeup mogul shared just how much she loves styling 14-month-old daughter Stormi’s hair. In the video, Stormi sits patiently while mom brushes her hair into sections. “I love doing her hair. I’m not the best. But I love learning. Some of my favorite memories are of my mom doing my hair,” she captioned the story, acknowledging that there’s a learning curve as a white mother to learn how to style her mixed-race daughter’s hair. It’s a sweet, simple mother-daughter moment, and we love how much Jenner is relishing it.
Another snippet shows Jenner gathering the top of Stormi’s hair into a teeny, tiny ponytail and clipping up the rest. “Can’t wait till her hair is long enough to all fit in the pony. Gotta make it work for now.”
As Bustle points out, it wasn’t so long ago that Kim Kardashian also had to learn how to style North’s hair. In 2016, Kardashian hired Kim Kimble (who just happens to be Beyoncé’s hair stylist) to teach her how to style North’s hair. Kardashian learned how to cornrow, and we have to say, North’s hair has looked adorable ever since.
She topped of Stormi’s style by laying her edges with an edge brush. Now, how soon until she teaches Stormi how to swipe on a matte lip?
