  1. Whats up guys! What did you think of these North Korean Style Cold Noodles?! Have you ever tried them? I think this was one of the BEST things we ate in Korea! Check out my Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/derpyluke and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/chopsticktravel for behind the scenes goodies! Lots of videos coming from Korea and Japan and more stay tuned!!!

  2. Luke , you are killing me with that cold noodle ( especially that spicy noodle ) . It’s look super tasty , make me so damn hungry now . I wish I have to chance to eat those cold noodles in Korea or somewhere too . 😋 ( I am also subcriber of your channel , nice to see your travel-eating video . Greeting from Thailand 😊 )

  3. I highly recommend visiting 대전 (Daejeon) for some authentic Pyeongyang Naengmyeon. The place is called 숯골원냉면, and the broth is made from Chicken stock. The place has been running for 3 generations now by North Korean people. The taste is very different, and the first bite is super bland. But the taste gets more and more addictive. Great videos! I love your content. 🙂

  4. Actually we normally eat North Korean style nengmyun without mustard or vinegar to taste the authentic meaty broth~

  5. He's like the Caucasian version of Mark Wiens.

  6. if anyone wants more info on neng myung watch Strictly Dumpling youtube channel, north korean noodles vs south korean noodles

  7. I wanna try but only south Korea kind because North Korea uses night soil….poop on there veggies….yuk

  8. Very good looking food you both love the foods very healthy food nice place fresh food and lots of it awesome very good you can eat very spices chillies as well they always look good thank you for sharing Bless you all.

  9. Nice ,but that "Asian peer"is called radish

  10. those noodles look terrible. I'm so sorry north koreans…

  11. whats your eye color they look beautiful just saying

  12. Wrong Wrong! urgh…mustard and vinegar is for the naengmyeon. If you really have no clue, Why do you not ask Anybody else how to correctly eat a dish before you film yourself eating it incorrectly?

  13. Typical food porn. Look at his awkward facial reactions.

  14. what is the name of the restaurant?

  15. there's a lot of misinformation in this comment thread, so allow a real korean to chime in here.

naengmyun is a type of dish that has variants that are native to both north and south korean regions. pyongyang naengmyun is naengmyun style originating from pyongyang (capital of NK). there's also hamheung naengmyun, which is more chewy, which originates from hamheung region in NK. there's other styles of naengmyun from SK regions, but pyongyang and hamheung are the two most popular variants. think of it as…bbq ribs, there's memphis style and kansas style. that sort of thing.

pyongyang naengmyun is better known for the non-spicy variant (with the clear broth); hamheung is better known for the spicy variant. you don't put vinegar/mustard in the spicy variant; you put it for the non-spicy variant usually. pyongyang style traditionally has higher buckwheat content in the noodles, making them less chewy than the hamheung variety, which i think contains a bit of potato starch IIRC.

of course there's a ton of NK foods in SK. the two countries were divided only ~70 years ago, so as one can imagine, there's plenty of cross pollination in food cultures. it's not like NK dishes are considered "foreign" food…it's just considered korean food by korean people. it's not like people in korea say "hey, let's go eat some North Korean food tonight!"

  16. Very nice to see you both enjoy your food thank you for sharing Bless you all have a good day thanks.

  17. Your Korean pronunciation is so good

  18. When you eat "Mul-Naeng-myeon"(The watery one) you should add "Shik-cho"(vinegar) and "Gyeo-ja"(Korean mustard) by your taste.

  19. He ate the naengmyun wrong. 🤦🏽‍♀️

  26. Hey guys, where you at? Miss your Vlogs! Everything OK?

  27. By the way Luke, did they restrict you in taking video in some spots in North Korea? I want to see some videos of their places.

  28. Why are you reacting so much with vinegar and mustard? It's his preference. There's no right or wrong way in eating food 😀 Just because you've seen most koreans eat like that doesn't mean his doing the wrong way.

  29. Subscribed from Japan! really
