For the Almost Famous, Factory Girl and Coyote Ugly lovers out there, Serotonin Vintage is the shop for you. Right on Brick Lane, each rail is bursting with fabulous items, bargain designer steals from Burberry, Fendi, Dior, Moschino, all for an affordable price. Keep an eye out on their Instagram page for their latest store arrivals.

House of Vintage, Brick Lane

If you’re looking for your staple jumpers, embroidered knits, printed tees, denim items, bomber jackets, House of Vintage that specialises in those items is worth popping into from your way out of Serotonin Vintage.

Tucked away at the end of Portobello Road is the lightly lit, boutique-like vintage store selling high-end, rare pieces.

Just down the road from Found and Vision is Rellik – its speciality being its accessories and footwear collection. Walking into the shop is as if you’ve walked straight into a time machine and woken up in the ’70s with all its bright colours. They have some great bold coloured suits in there too.

Mero Retro, Dalston

While Mero Retro offers a wide selection of garments, it’s a must-go destination for its Asian-inspired vintage garments that includes a selection of kimonos, printed tees, shirts and accessories, that are all fair-trade and handmade.

The Market Cartel, Hackney

The Market Cartel, as you would expect from its name, has everything. Featuring pieces from the ’50s to the ’80s, we recommend dedicating an hour or so to search every ceiling, rail and crevice in the store as hidden gems are tucked away.

Paper Dress Vintage, Hackney

Paper Dress Vintage is as vintage and rock’n’roll as it gets. Drop in to browse their eclectic collection with pieces ranging from the 1920s to 1980s and soak in the vintage feel with its vintage decor and black and white checkered floors. We recommend dropping by even for a coffee or a dance as the boutique has a great outdoor space, perfect for the summer and the shop opens up as an event space for gigs.

As you leave the bustling streets of Covent Garden, just off Seven Dials, you’ll find Blackout II – a small, cosy vintage shop across two floors, that’s been up and running for over 30 years – so you know you’ll find some rare gems in there. Its antique and almost period costume items are worth browsing and it’ss home to the best men’s and women’s suits.

One of a Kind Archive, Portobello Road

It’s easy to miss the small, dark-painted unassuming store on Portobello Road, but it’s one of our favourites and home to one of the biggest and best vintage collections London has to offer. The small shop is tightly packed with jaw-dropping ‘one of a kind’ items that even date back to the 19th century. One of a Kind has an entire wall dedicated to the many famous faces that have graced the shop including Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss and our very own Editor-in-chief.

William Vintage, Marylebone

Heralded as the ‘King of Vintage’ William Banks-Blaney’s internationally renowned two-floored vintage shop is the absolute-must, creme de la creme, go-to destination for the ultimate designer items. The store has an extensive loyal celebrity customer list that includes Amal Clooney, Victoria Beckham and Tilda Swinton.

Whether it’s a theme, trend, season or colour, Modes & More’s window is enough to lure you into the store. It’s arguably one of the best dressed shop windows in London with some great designer items from Gucci, Galliano, Louis Vuitton and so on.

Oxfam, Westbourne Grove

The ultimate steals are in charity shops – the Oxfam on Westbourne Grove having just as many designer collectables and fashionable pieces as the vintage stores on Portobello and Ladbroke Grove. From brands ranging from Ralph Lauren to Yves Saint Laurent to , this charity shop is a fashion haven for the bargain hunters. In fact, last weekend I was rather pleased that I left with a Prada slip dress all for the humble price of £60.

Royal Trinity Hospice, Portobello Road

On the corner of Portobello Road is Royal Trinity Hospice which, despite not having designer names and labels, has plenty of fashionable and stylish garments. It’s great for oversized suits, your staple pieces including roll necks, cashmeres, oversized knits, suits and funky trousers.

Any charity shop in Marylebone:

Marylebone seems to be a vintage and charity shop district and the Oxfam, Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation are certainly all worth visiting. Its small stores are secretly hiding some of the best vintage fashion pieces all for reasonably cheap prices.
