If you’re a savvy shopper, you probably know how and when to shop for your favorite items, and if you’re anything like us, you’ll likely never add something to your cart unless it’s on sale. So for the savviest of shoppers who love a good deal, we have some pretty exciting news for you: Amazon Prime Day) — aka the massive marathon of deals we wait all year for — is fast approaching.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2019?
According to a sale-specific leak that tech product review site Tom’s Guide spotted, Amazon Prime Day could begin as early as July 12 and potentially last for as long as a week, wrapping up on July 19. And while it’s important to note that there’s no confirmation for that exciting little rumor, a seven-day sale would be a seriously big deal for this particular promo. Last year, for example, this same sale was only 36-hours long, so this would be a serious increase. But no matter the length, some of the best deals are sure to sell out quickly on the first day, so look alive out there.
What kind of deals can we expect?
From now until the big day, Amazon will be teasing some of the 2019 Prime Day deals with some sneak peek sales, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to pick out your must-have products ahead of time. And there’s likely going to be quite a variety, if last year’s Amazon Prime Day 2018 is any indication.
For instance, last year’s best-selling product in the U.S. was the wildly popular Instant Pot pressure cooker, alongside our picks, which included Clarisonic facial cleansing brush for just $79 instead of the regular $129, a Herschel backpack for $35, down from $60, and a Rusk hairdryer for $84 instead of the usual $120. So our suggestion to prep this time around? Bookmark Allure‘s Amazon Prime Day coverage and our Amazon storefront to stay up-to-date on all the best deals to shop during those precious hours.
How do I sign up for Amazon Prime?
Even though you can sign up for Amazon Prime anytime leading up to when the biggest deals are live, now is probably the best time to do so — because only Prime members have access to all these money-saving steals.
Not sure how to become a member? Make sure to check out Allure’s guide to shopping Amazon Prime Day for all the insider information, and then head over to Amazon to sign up. If you’re hesitant on committing to a membership, you’re in luck: Amazon also offers 30-day free trials, as well as six-month free trials for students.
Obviously, we’ll update you the moment we get more specific information about the exact start date, but in the meantime, make sure to mark your calendar, set your alarm, and get your Prime account ready for July 12. Because no matter when it starts, trust us you won’t want to miss out this year; all signs point to it being the best Amazon Prime Day yet.
