This wasn’t what Duke or Knicks fans wanted to see.
Early in Wednesday’s game against rival North Carolina, Zion Williamson’s sneaker tore apart as he slipped and fell to the floor and had to head to the bench. Williamson, widely expected to be the first pick in the NBA draft, was soon taken to the locker room for observation.
There was no immediate word on his condition.
Nike also couldn’t be happy since it was their sneaker Williamson was wearing.
